About With Child Without Alchohol

Even though it's preventable, FASD is all too common. According to Health Canada, there are an estimated 300,000 Canadians living with FASD right now.

The Manitoba Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) believes people should be allowed to enjoy alcohol, but not at the expense of someone's health and well-being. That's why the MLCC decided to lead the way in raising awareness of FASD and the risks of drinking alcohol while pregnant.

"With Child - Without Alcohol" is the MLCC's program to prevent alcohol-related disabilities using the most effective preventative measure available: knowledge.

Television and radio commercials, posters, brochures, information kits and (of course) this website are all part of delivering information on alcohol and pregnancy to as many people as possible. Hopefully, if people know the truth about drinking during pregnancy, they'll make the decision to be "With Child - Without Alcohol."
